Oakie and his family

This sale was a family affair. Everyone was there helping.... even the dog. They said they just wanted to get rid of some stuff.

Hunt St. Sale

This lady had a sale the day before but still had her signs out so when I walked up she told me that she didn't feel like laying anything out so it was just in a pile in the corner of the house. She didn't want to tell me her name but did tell me that she was moving to Dallas the next day and she wanted to get rid of some stuff.

Leonard

I stopped at a house because I thought they were having a garage sale. OOPS! Turns out they were GOING to have an estate sale and were letting family members preview everything before the actual sale. Leonard does estate sales for people. Organizes them, and sells the things for the family. He let me take his picture as I was talking to him about estate sales. He told me to come back in a few weeks for the actual sale.

Ilene Thomas

Ilene was yard sale sitting for a few guys around Commerce, TX who got together to get rid of some things. Ilene is the mother of the man who owns Cowhill Express Coffee Shop in Commerce. Rick, one of her sons was also there at the sale and he took me to look around the land and showed me a grain silo they turned into a little coffee shack. A lot of the influential men of Commerce go there every morning to drink coffee and talk. Most of the stuff in the sale belonged to these same men.

Parking Lot Sale

These ladies said that I could take pictures of the sale but when I turned the camera on them they said no. So I just shot this sale. The ladies running the sale didn't speak English very well so it was hard to get my point across to them.

RAY ROBERTS

Ray owns the building where the old barber shop used to be and he has turned it into a garage sale. He says he will probably have to stop having a garage sale here because the city has certain regulations about having a garage sale all the time.
